I met Liora on her 24th birthday in 1992 at a vegetarian restaurant in India. I had been fortunately aligned with the Grateful Dead as a child and by a young adult we were paying for our shows by vending mostly veggie burritos by “Richie”, always next to “Mongo”, in the late 80s’. After our return India, Nepal and Thailand provided treasures for a “lot” of the phans, that we collected and sold for years. Creating art for us is simply designing a natural fiber garment or accessory that people love. Though not constructing it ourselves we care for all our seamstress’ phamily in Nepal and Thailand, with deep ties and integrity with their needs and their communities always present.
